4 Days Until I Hit The Road
February 19, 2019
Well it’s almost here. I got great news from Ocean Grove RV yesterday. They finally got the last part from Lance Manufacturing in California to repair the awning on my travel trailer. I guarantee you from now on I will look for every tree around me. I will be picking the trailer up tomorrow.
The trailer is going to be sitting here for three days and the HOA is just going to have to deal with it. I’ve got most of what is going with me gathered together in little mountains around the house. It looks like I’ve got a family of moles living in my carpet.
The first leg of the trip is going to be boring. I hate driving on I-10 from the I-75 junction to the state line. And now dragging a trailer behind me I can’t do my normal 80mph to make it a shorter time driving it. Maybe what I will do is download “It’s A Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong and think even more about what I am going to see in the next few months.
I wish that I could follow Robert Frost’s lead:
“And two roads diverged in a wood and I—
Took the one less traveled by”
But I don’t have a 4×4 so I will have to take the road more traveled and watch for places that I have not seen in other photographer’s images. Besides, with my sense of direction I would end up spending the whole 5 or 6 months in one desert. At some point I might be able to find something that is unique and only mine. Of course, I won’t be passing up all the other places, but I am going to try to get a different angle or viewpoint for myself and you.
We are so looking forward to reading about you journey! Have a safe one and enjoy.
