Columbia Gorge Oregon

I stayed in the Columbia Gorge for three days. There were two things that I wanted to do while I was in the gorge. I wanted to go to Mount Hood and Multnomah Falls which is one of the iconic images that I wanted to get. I was able to get images of Multnomah Falls but did not get pictures of Mount Hood. The rain and low clouds kept the mountain completely covered. I drove to Lost Lake which is over an hour each way. The lake has another iconic view of the volcano but not on the day that I was there. The clouds were so low that it was hard to even see across the lake. As I said in other posts you can make all the plans that you want to, but Mother Nature doesn’t always agree. I not only didn’t get an image of the volcano but never even saw Mount Hood. I wish that there was more that could do here, but the rain, wind and clouds really worked against me. The scenery along the Hood river is beautiful, but the drive is on I-84 so there is nowhere to stop. One side of the highway is the river and the other side is high cliffs.
