Many Roads One Camera

Seattle, WA

I went to downtown Seattle. I have all these good things about Pike Place Market. It lived up all the hype. Picture one huge market selling everything from seafood to flowers to leather belts. Of course, the big draw is the fish throwing fishmongers. I stood there for a long time watching them throw the fish. The only time that they throw the fish is when some one buys a fish. I was too cheap to buy one, so I just waited for someone else to buy one. I was waiting to see if one of the guys dropped one, but they didn’t. You must remember that this is a huge tourist attraction so you will be paying tourists prices. For example, they have Maine lobster tails that cost $49.99 a pound. I know that they have them flown in, but they are frozen. Another thing about the market is the street performers. There all kinds of performers from violinists to magicians. Back in the early 2000’s St. Augustine stopped street performers from playing on St. George street. I wonder what the city’s reaction would have been to a performer walking up with his piano. Well there were several performers with their pianos. While I was down there I and half of the world had to go to the original Starbucks and get something to drink. The line was long, but I just couldn’t pass it up. I got my drink and some pictures. I left there and went to the Space Needle. I passed up going up on the needle. It was too expensive for me. I did pay to go into the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum. This place is beautiful. So many different forms of blown glass and the colors are so amazing. In retrospect I probably should have gone up in the needle because I will probably never be here again.
