Many Roads One Camera

17 Days Until I Hit The Road

Previously on Many Roads One Camera was Olympic NP but now it is time to get on down the road.  Next stop is North Cascades NP. Admittedly I don’t know a lot about this park except that the Columbia Gorge is within the park and that there is supposed to be a lot of waterfalls.

From North Cascades I am heading to Glacier NP. This park is one of the parks that I extended stays at some of my previous stops and hopefully the road to the sun will be open. This is going to be a really close one though. Right now it seems that the snow storms up north just seem to not want to stop.

Now I get to the most popular park in the US and also the oldest national park in the whole world, Yellowstone NP. This area was a very hard to find a campground. I finally found one in Gardiner that is just outside the north entrance. I was also having problems finding a campground near Jackson, WY so that I could spend time at Grand Teton NP.  Things got complicated so I talked to the people in Gardiner about doubling the length of my stay and they said there would be no problem with that but gave me the phone number for a campground for a campground in Grand Teton.  That campground was able to accommodate me so I should be able to enjoy my time at both parks. Believe me when I start to do any reviews of campgrounds the one in Gardiner (Rocky Mountain RV Park) is off to a good start.

From there I am heading to Badlands NP. On the way I am hoping to visit Mount Rushmore and Custer national monument. Badlands NP is another park that I don’t know a lot about. When I lived in Illinois I had a neighbor that loved to go there so we’ll see how it goes.

After that it is just kind of meandering my way back to Jacksonville with a stop in my hometown of Canonsburg, PA to visit a childhood friend who is also an ex brother-in-law and also visiting some of my cousins that still live in the area. There is a national park in Ohio that I just heard about while watching many many YouTube videos, Cuyahoga Valley National Park and maybe I will try to stop there for a few days.

Well wish me luck. I know that this is aggressive and intense but I hope that it will be fulfilling and exciting as well. And I hope that I can get a few good pictures to put up on my gallery to outshine the images that I already have there from past trips.
