Many Roads One Camera

14 Days Until I Hit The Road

What I would like to do now is delve into the photographers and other people that I have watched and listened to in preparation for this trip. One of the many photographers that I have watched is Steve Mattheis. I found him on YouTube, and I was especially interested in his knowledge and techniques for photographing wildlife and landscapes in Yellowstone NP and Grand Teton NP.

He always tells you about the lighting in the scene and what he was thinking about when he was looking around. He tells you what camera body, lens, f/stop, shutter speed, and ISO he is using. He seems to really enjoy passing his knowledge on to others. I know that there are other photographers that also do the same and I will be posting about some of them in the next few days. I feel that I can take what he is saying and use it not only in Yellowstone and Grand Teton but in Saguaro, Yosemite, Olympic and all the other places that I will be stopping over the next five to six months.

He has one video that I really liked “I Reveal My Best Photos of 2017 | Landscape and Wildlife Photography”. He shows you what he feels are the images that he most likes from 2017. At the beginning he says that they may not be his best of 2017 but are the ones that he likes the most. If they aren’t his best I would really like to see the ones that he left out. With each photo he you when, where and how he took the image which I find very helpful.

Here are the places that you can find him:
